My Boxster wont run from cold

Hi can some one help please. I just got a Boxster and i cant get it to tick over when cold and it will keep stopping when its hot. If you pull up at a junction it will cut out. There are no codes coming up so id don't know what to look for. I don't think the choke is working?

More than likely a vacuum leak somewhere.

Thanks lkchris

Had a look and can not see any leaks.

Any other ideas the choke is not coming on at all so could it be something to do with that if so why is it not it working? Help someone please.

If the problem persists after the car is hot then I don't see how it could be choke related. I think the first suggestion, a vacuum leak, is most likely.

You said you can't see any leaks, but I'm curious - how would you "see" a vacuum leak?

Thanks Mark

I could only see one vacuum pipe on the top i would say going to the manifold? this all looked ok. i have come across one before and the rubber bit that connects the hard pipe was perished this was not so that what i tested? The reason i said it could be something to do with the choke is that when you start it up from cold it doesn't run at a higher rev and on most of the other car i have had it revs at a higher rev when cold until the engine worms up.
