Throttle Body Valve

Hey guys,

Does anyone know (or remember the positiom of the throttle body valve when the car is off? I have taken it out a few times but can't remember the position. The reason for asking is that last week I did a smoke test on the intake system using a vacuum port on the rubber boots. Smoke also came out of the air filter and the intake vent on the side of the car. That means that the throttle valve is open, right, when the car is off? And is it supposed to be that way?

Thanks
