Suspension Hardness on '09 Boxster with 7K Miles

Dear All,

Drove my "new" '09 Boxster with 7K miles (only) for the first time after purchase on a relatively smooth highway (George Bush Turnpike in DFW area) and noted that the suspension was harder than I had expected - as compared to other boxsters I have driven around. I read somewhere that new cars end up being "tighter" with engine/brakes/steering etc. but had not heard of suspension being hard and softening up as the miles pile on.

Also noted that the wind-stop rattling at speed.

Any clues? suggestions?
