I'm worried that the standard 2 tone style seat would be too much white. I've considered maybe just one 6-10cm wide vertical stripe on the headrest. I'll do some photoshopping before I set out on that project.

HolmaN 03-30-2014 11:07 AM

Damn, you're good

particlewave 03-30-2014 03:35 PM

Haha! Thanks...the work was easy enough, just takes patience and dedication to finish the job ;)

I still haven't got any good pics because either the white is too bright or the black is too dark. I can't seem to find a good middle ground with the exposure.
I also need to do more. As it sits, the only white parts in the interior are the gauge faces and the center console pieces. It still needs more to tie it all in.

Looks GREAT! Lots of patience and handy with the sewing machine.

Another Winner from Particle. Looks great!

I don't know what you do for a living, but you could start your own Porsche custom details business.

You are a very talented guy indeed!

^ Couldn't agree more

It's been about nine months, so I thought I'd drop in for an update. Not much to report, other than that all of the leatherwork still looks as good as day 1. :)

I'm currently working on custom wrapping my 3 spoke steering wheel and airbag to incorporate some white leather accents, but with all the headlight orders lately, it may be a while before I get around to finishing that up. I guess I've got all winter.

OUTSTANDING WORK!. My wife designs and sews a lot of her clothes and I always marvel at the magic she works with both sewing machine and surger (I know there is a difference but damned if I can tell the end results, one from the other). Making a pattern is also magic to me and you are a wizard. Keep us posted, always glad to see creative people at work.

Excellent job! It would have never come to mind to come up with something like this. Your skill level allows you to be creative. Thanks for sharing.

Wow...good work

particlewave 12-08-2014 03:32 PM

Thanks guys! Truth told, I've always enjoyed making my own things, but it's never easy. I'm just too thick headed and stubborn to give up :)

It's also nice to have unique things that no one else has ;)

BTW, I make a twice baked potato that will ruin your life. Nothing you put in your face from that point on will ever measure up.

Hmmm! I wondered about your avatar pic. Could it be filled with egg and cheese, perhaps chopped up green olives? Looks tasty. Wife here also cooks very well and does a similar potato with bacon bits. Party ON!

It's been a couple years since I started this project. With winter fully set in, I figured that it's time to add some more. I will be doing the lower console side trims, door pocket covers, and possibly the handle trims soon.

Stay tuned! :)

Nice

Very cool, I just dropped 500 bucks on a cow size piece of black leather to upholster my old and tired grey seats

BruceH 01-06-2016 05:37 PM

Looks great Charles! I'm sure the end result will be impressive:cheers:

It’s been 5 1/2 years since I started this project and still have not done anything on the doors or had the steering wheel wrapped.

I did pick up this wheel cover...don’t laugh. It’s actually very well made, full leather, very tight fit and goes with the interior.

I’ll get a proper wrap someday, but for now, am loving this cover :)

Troy.Boxster 08-07-2019 07:04 AM

That's a great look!

particlewave 08-08-2019 02:14 AM

Thanks Troy!
I still want to get the wheel wrapped, but this cover is one of the best quality, best fitting I’ve seen.

I agree: That looks great!

How much? And, from where? Link?

Thanks!
