Bicycle rack..?

I'm looking to buy a bike rack (for a single TT bike). I'd appreciate recommendations and/or pointers to what to lock out for. I got a '98 986 with a permanent hardtop.

Peer,

As you may have noticed I'm selling my '99 Boxster and various related toys. I have a 986 Porsche Roof-Top Storage (RTS) system that I am willing to sell. It is a very strudy roof rack that all sorts of things can be attached to (bicycles, cargo boxes, surf boards, kayaks, etc). If you're interested send me a PM with an offer price.

I wonder if anyone knows (or guess) if this thingee could perhaps be hacked to fit a Box:

Amazon.com : Thule 9001XT Raceway Rear Door Mounted Bike Carrier : Automotive Bike Racks : Sports & Outdoors

i don't know that it'd clear the wing. the only p-car model it's listed to work with is the cayenne.

saw this solution this year earlier. quite interesting. though my concern about clamshell still stands, it might be worth a try. one of the better looking solutions i've seen on here.
