My thoughts exactly, unless it were to get way out of whack, I don't worry about MPG. I think more about SPG(Smiles Per Gallon)

Although almost all of the businesses in Breaking Bad are real, that one doesn't seem to be. Everyone I talk to remembers a "El Pollo Loco", but not "Pollos Locos". Thry probably just changed the sign on some place, but since I didn't watch the show, I couldn't make a guess about what it really is.

You're welcome to come down and try to find it. The PCA region is going to have a Breaking Bad tour this year at the annual Porsche Fiesta in May.

I work for Comcast, and a couple weeks ago I went to a house to do an install. Odd, these people were all hovering around my van, taking photos with their thumbs up and this and that. I didn't know what was going on. Turns out it was the house filmed in that show. I didn't know. Its like a damn tourist attraction now. I'd hate to be those people.

Anyway.... 17mpg!!!!! WAHOOOO. A little better, still pathetic but were getting to tolerable numbers. This is after running a tank of the lucas fuel treatment. I've still been on it a lot, maybe not as much, but its hard not to. I just love that porsche sound.

Also, saw a Silver Boxster today. Amber signals in the headlights... Had a nice wing, hard top, some nice wheels. Was going the opposite direction.

Kinda looked like yours silver-S, on Wyoming and San Antonio going East.

I got it wrong it was Los Pollos Hermanos. And its an actual place but with a different name. A Brittish reporter did a story about visiting it. People go right from the airport to this Mexican spot and ask to sit in the booth where Gus and Walter had their meeting.

Post Also new to Porsche -- Headlight continues to blow; directional signal not functional

Greetings,

I just purchased my first 2001 Porsche Boxster S last month. The car is a joy to drive, however the passenger side headlight has blown twice; and the directional signal on the same side has also blown.

The headlight was replaced and it was functional for about 5 hours of drive-time. I replaced the directional signal (with two separate bulbs) and I have not observed it function since I purchased the vehicle.

I used a small amount of bulb grease when replacing the bulbs, and validated that the bulbs matched the driver side as well. I checked the fuses and they are good.

Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this?

I am in Charlotte, NC and looking for assistance.

Please advise,

Thomas

I couldn't stand it anymore. The wheels are impossible to clean and keep clean. even after massive intensive scrubbing there was grime. So I painted them. Going to send them off to be powdered eventually but for now this will do.

And last but not least:

I'm waiting to put the Porsche center caps back on, gonna color in the flag red like it should be and coat it yellow so it will look like gold like the other Porsche Badges.

Some time later. Just picked up a Hard Top. Super stoked. Totally changed the way I feel about the car. Gas mileage still crap. But I just gave up. I have been through plugs, and a few other things. I'm fine. I'll accept it. Its almost time to clean my filter again. Changed the wheels again. Loving the Candy Red. Gone through a set of tires now. Got some grippy suckers so driving South 14 is a blast now. Have re cleared my headlights to get the best out of the weak designed Projectors.

Here's how it sits right now.

Driver seat is now totaled. I've tried taking care of them with leather conditioning but no such luck. the rest of the interior is still great. Been trying to find a replacement driver seat but I'm guessing the Red/Black seats are not soo common.
