window regulator fail... twice
I recently took on the task of replacing my drivers side window regulator in my 2001 boxster and I followed the instructions posted on this forum. First regulator replaced 6 months ago and then again 2 months ago. Both new regulators have had the cable come off the bottom right pulley and the created slack has bound up the cable in the center hub behind the motor. I am starting to think I am doing something wrong and I'm seeking advice from the forum. Please help.

Check this installation video, great step by step.

Thanks ilikeching. Based on the video I reinstalled the regulators correctly but I continue to throw the cables and it occurred on the same pulley for both replacements. The second one didn't last 60 days. I must be missing something on the adjustment side of it yet I see very few areas to make such adjustments. Is it possible the top isn't fitted properly and it's binding there?

I followed the reset instructions I found on this forum. I am really confused with what causes the cable to jump off the pulley since it it's the common denominator in the failure of both new regulators. I didn't mess with the long threaded screws on the parts that clamp to the glass because it didn't seem to move the glass very much either way.
