leather care what do you use ?
 

New to me 2002 S and it has a black leather interior. Not sure if that means everything has leather on it ? Anyway what is the go to stuff for leather ? Interior in good shape the drivers outside bolster has a little bit of wear but no tears or creases. So I want to clean then condition. And what do you use every month or every quarter or once a year ? I really want to maintain the leather so I don't have to replace. I've always used Lexol products on vinyl and I know they make leather products. This is the first vehicle I've owned with leather interior. Any help appreciated.

Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner. Works great!

I use the Zymol Leather Cleaner and Zymol Leather Conditioner. My leather is still soft with no cracks, and smells good after 15 years.

My local Pep Boys stocks it; I would think other car care chains would have it readily available.

I use a spray by mcguires. Cleans and conditions just fine. I use that about 1 time every other month. I will be doing a day of wash wax and detail where I will be going with something a little heavier..

+1 for lexol / vinylex have been using it for 12 years

i have used every product widely used. Leatherique, Lexol, Meguiar's, etc.

The best at DEEP cleaning is 1Z which you can get on autogeek.net
It leaves a nice 'new look' matte finish, no residue or shiny film.
Use with a microfiber towel and you won't believe what comes off the leather.

For more frequent upkeep, Griot's Garage leather cleaner/conditioner in the tiny bottle stays in the door pocket. Also, no film residue and gets deep into those small creases that need to be minded before they become tears.

Vacuum all all the nasty stuff out of the seams. Really pull the seat/back pads apart and vacuum everything out. Beyond that many leather cleaning options are good but I have found that Griot's is really great. I also have an '02 model and I was amazed at how much the seats soaked up when I first got her earlier this year. They were thirsty.

I've used Soffener from Color Plus, for over 25 years. It is an amazing product. The company is not as well known as others. Prices are very reasonable, and the results are as good or better than anything else I've tried including a couple of big names.
