Truce. I apologize if I have offended you with my sarcasm, but seriously, the metric system makes so much sense and is really easy. 100C is boiling, a meter is about a yard, 100 km/hr is about 60 mph, a liter is about a quart.

Try it, you'll like it.

Agreed. Metric just makes sense. The Imperial system is just plain bananas :p

Sorry Trimer, I have nothing useful to contribute :(

Come on down and lets do a track day at Homestead. Fun, safe track. Best $300 you ever spent!

So, you like the British system of measurement, which by the way, isn't used in Britain? So tell me, what's the British unit for mass. Hmm, don't know? So why follow a system that makes no sense and no one uses?

By the way, mass is a slug in the Brit system. Do you also have a set of witworth wrenches?

We still work in slugs for inertia and, yes, I have witworth sized sockets! So what's the problem?:p

Me. I'm the Brit expat. No non-running, leaking Brit motor anymore but would love another MGB!

There's an old joke a bout a guy who buys a new triumph in the sixties and takes it back to the dealer, complaining that it leaks a pint of oil a month. The dealer tells him "Oh yes, you have serious problem, it should be leaking at least a quart a month"
