adapting for iPhone….
I have a 2000 Boxster S with a cassette player and cd changer. I currently use a Belkin cassette adapter to play my iPhone but wanted to improve on this. The Belkin works ok but the wire is wedged in the head unit door flap and you can hear slight wining as you go thru' the revs, so this is not ideal. Wondered if anyone had got round this problem by wiring into the CD changer or straight into the back of the head unit?

You can purchase a Becker aux cable and plug it into your radio. This would be plugged into where the cd changer is so you would lose that.

I have this which is now plugged into an iPad mini but I first used it with my iPhone 4S. Works great with both!

I have the same and easy to install and use.

Thanks for that. My radio is the CR22 and doesn't have aux, just cd changer. Is that all it needs?
…and finally, can you get this cable in UK?! |
Search for 'Blaupunkt aux cable' on ebay and you will find a number of <$10 cables that plug into the back of the Becker head unit and provide a headphone plug , rca's and in some cases an iphone plug. Many are from China, but I purchased one from a guy in Las Vegas last year. Just provides audio to the head unit, all controls remain on the iPhone.
