Hi All,

I've been lurking for a while. After doing much research-most of it on this site-I purchased a 2001 Boxster base with 65,000 miles. Porsche was never on my radar. It took one test drive: I heard the exhaust note and I was sold! Can anyone else relate?? My wife thinks I am going through a crisis...Cosmetically, the car is immaculate, not a scratch or blemish. I purchased the car in October and since I have done the following work:

Oil change/filter
Spark plugs
New brake discs, pads, fluid
Fuel filter
Cabin filter
Air Filter
Drive belt
Clutch, pressure plate, flywheel
LN IMS solution (I had a dual row bearing which seems to be in perfect shape-had mechanic save it to use as an expensive paper weight)
RMS
Water pump

Boxster drives as new (as it should)! This is the photo the day I first saw her.

Welcome the forum, and congrats! You're in the right track with doing maintenance. Are those 19s? Looks like previous owner may have lowered the car's springs, or the wheels fill up the wells nicely, or both.

You're right on: not lowered but victor equipment 19's. I really like them. I have since added porsche center caps.

Nice! Like you, the Boxster wasn't on my radar. I was actually looking for an Elise when I drove the Boxster just to see what it was like. I came back from the test drive and wrote the cheque.

Very nice, I love those wheels! My wife thought the same, until she went for a few rides, then she understood, life is too short to drive a boring car The Boxster exhaust note is addictive, she grins ever time we go under an overpass where it echoes! Welcome to the forum
