Front speaker swap = lower volume?

Swapped my front speakers for some alpine 410 speakers yesterday. The stereo sounds much better now and the front speakers don't sound harsh like before , but I noticed the aftermarket speakers require a higher volume setting on the oem radio than the original speakers. Both before and after are driven by an aftermarket alpine amp. Is this normal? I estimate while before I had the radio at 15, to get the same volume overall it now needs to be maybe 22... Like I said I'm pleased with the sound overall I just want to make sure I didn't do something wrong.

What impedance were your new speakers?

Sensitivity rating, e.g. dB/watt. A 6 dB lower rating requires twice the power for the same volume

4ohm speakers
