A while back a friend asked me if they could use my Boxster in a short film, they needed a sports car for a photoshoot scene. They offered to pay for a detail, so I let them use it. The lighting in the professional car photography studio made every blemish disappear.

Unfortunately, I am not allowed to post the pictures with the actress fawning over the car. Also, it was a reputable film, not the other kind.

Thanks, I actually took all of those photographs!
It was 99% the lighting of a professional car photography studio.

Before we handout the Oscar to the lighting & detail crew, why would you light half the car & leave a shadow on the other half? This highlights 1 radiator grille & attempts to hide the other? What is that strange blemish/damage below the passenger door trailing edge? Detailing crew doesn't do lugnuts? I used to do car photography car prep at SouthBay Studio in Long Beach. Maybe that's why I only have 2 beauty shots of my Box!
I'm not criticizing the car just the prep. I have always wanted to get studio time for my Box & hate to see it taken for granted.

The first time I was not frustrated driving behind a semi on a two lane road. Is it your delivery?

BTW, have you considered adding the GT3tek Boxster Spyder rear bumper spoiler? Its a flexible polyurethane and sticks over the current bumper with just a couple of screws. Makes it look current for cheap.
He told me it was for the 2004 996 GT3. I took his word for it, but I love the look no matter what it was designed for. The receipt says 996-505-986-92-01C, which Pelican sells for $443 and says it is for "996 GT3 (2004-2005) (from 03)". Glad I didn't have to pay the OEM price!!

And as for the GT3tek rear bumper, I added it last Spring. I had the 2 diffuser areas painted satin black. I think it matches well with the GT3 front bumper and the Ebay sourced Cayman-style rear spoiler and the painted bumperettes.
Didn't you say a while back that you bought the GT3tek diffuser but had not painted or installed it yet? What is holding you up? Time to get it done!! It was an easy install and looks great!

I've only taken a couple, but these are my favorites so far.
I tried to play with the lighting in all of the shots to show off the curves of the car because they tend not to show in photographs, even though they're pretty obvious in person.

(All of these were taken the first week I owned it, hence the front dealer plate. )

Direct light from the streetlamp and a long exposure make the paint look like glass. A bit of stray blue from our Christmas lights made it in though...

A christmas present to me...

I like how the lens flare subtly lights up the empty space in this one.

This is a really flattering angle for the hardtop, I think. It hides the rear seam where it sits on the clamshell.
