Memorabilia Collection: Tamiya Remote Control Car
I got this idea from Ocean's 11. Here is a Tamiya RC car that I painted to match my Boxster. It was pretty fun putting it together.

Did it come with an extra IMS bearing ?
|
Where did you get it?
|
Was it in the boys or girls toy section? :)
Joking aside, very cool! I think it looks great. |
I got it on ebay.
This one is from the boys toy section for sure. It took me a week with some midget tools to get it to work right. |
Did you Get the extended warranty?

I did this a couple of years back, you can find the old kits on Ebay but they are pretty pricey I think mine was about $200 I have scene them for $250 plus shipping. I got the color match paint for my car so it was a exact match. I have build a bunch of RC cars so the project was very easy for me. It only took a couple of evening in front of the TV.

Ha, ha! Now just like Ocean's 11, you have to race it and have it runned over by the full size car.
|
If people would simply list all their cars in their sig line, I wouldn't need to ask what's the red car next to your B'ster? I have a 1964 MGB Midget I need to get back to work on.
|
Sorry Timco, I'll add my cars to my sig line.
It's a 1966 Triumph Spitfire track car built by Red LeGrand who built many lightweight formula cars, including ones that bear his name. Here is some more info and pics from a Triumph/MG Experience message board: 1966 Triumph Spitfire (LEGRANDSPITFIRE) Registry : The MG Experience This is the guy who built it: http://dsr.racer.net/chassis/legrand/history.htm |
How does one find the aerokit, and scaled down 20x11" wheels for it? :)
