Tried many ways to immobilize. It's super tight. Sigh.

Thoughts?

And won't I need a shorter belt?

The Radium King 10-09-2013 10:27 AM

in your pulley there is a hole that allows you to pin the pulley in place into a boss locate behind it. use an appropriately sized Allen key to do the task. you may not need a shorter belt; depends on how much smaller your new pulley is.

Is this boss dead bottom?

The Radium King 10-09-2013 10:44 AM

iirc correctly it is at around 10 o'clock.

Thanks. That did it, but now the UD pulley will not clear that very dog.

Damn!!!

That is because to install an under drive pulley, you need to machine some of that boss off.

Just searched and found that. Thanks.

Now I do need a shorter belt. Off to parts.

JFP, any downside to installing the under drive pulley?

KRAM36 10-10-2013 02:58 AM

People should post pictures of these things.

It's a fraction of the size of the orig and needed a shorter belt.

WAY more power low end!!!! Zero other felt differences so far.

Is the nut normal thread or reverse?
