19" psi for tires
 

What psi are you running and what should I run? I'm currently running 30/36 but I've read a few places, due to lower profile tires, I should bump up the psi. Should I bump them up to 34/40?

My tires are hankook v12 235/35/19 and 265/30/19

It's all about the load carrying capacity of the tires. Read on the side of each tire the load capacity at what psi. If your old tire has a higher load capacity at the same psi you must raise psi in the new tire to compensate for the smaller volume of air in the lower profile tire. If you don't have the old tires try tirerack for capacity of your previous size. It's always safer to have too much than too little so start high & reduce slowly from there to soften ride & even out tread wear.

These were the factory sizes on my 19" Carrera Classics with PS2's. OEM spec was 32/37. I usually ran 32/36.

I run 34/36 on my 18s. Roads aren't too bad, but I put my fronts a tad higher psi to marginally mitigate the shock of an unexpected pothole/bumps. No problems for me. I've had to have a few wheels redone after they were bent, not fun.

I run my 19 inch 235/275 at 32/36 with great results.
