987 comes with one touch automatic convertible top

Long story short: my 987 top is working like the windows, automatically, just one touch and it goes down the rest of the way WITHOUT my finger on the switch, even while traveling 30mph

HOWEVER..... doesn't work all the time. It's strange, seems like the car has to be running awhile? I don't know how to explain it, but it will work going up or down

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

EDIT: I'm an idiot. Page 183 of the manual
http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/Owners_Manual_Boxster_PCNA.pdf

Quote:
From 6 mph (10 km/h) to 30 mph
Pull button briefly, the convertible top opens automatically. The message in on-board computer goes out.
In case of danger, pull the button back again, the convertible top operation stops.
Gotta say that's a great feature, much better than the 986

took me 10,000 miles to realize this because I was so use to holding down the button with the 986

I think it's dumb that the speed requirement exists. I hate (okay, dislike is better really) when I push it in a parking lot situation and then it stops when I slow down below 6 mph!
