puddle under the hood

Opened the bonnet to find this puddle on the plastic cover just to left of the battery cover.

We've had some heavy rain.

The care is on the slightest incline so front is uphill (but it's a very slight incline, barely anything)

First, is this normal?
Should water drain off the front of the car with no problems, even with the heaviest of rain falls?

Is it OK if water gets in this area??

thanks

It's ok so long as your drain holes are not clogged. If you search the forum, you'll find postings describing where the drains are located and how to clean them. When cleaning, it's also a good idea to clean the rear ones too.
