The UD pulley will rub into the boss. It's belt surface is dead even with the boss. So I used a sawzall and cut mine off. It would take a while to file down. Cut off flush or slightly proud.

I do not suggest you use a sawzall unless you are skilled with one. I've been using them for many years.

Nice job with the sawzall. Need to do some research on the best way to get the clearance. Thanks for the reply.

I prefer to use a 5/16" piloted end mill with a 3/4" 3 face. Chuck this in a 90 degree drill and insert the pilot into the center hole of the boss, then hit the trigger on the drill and machine the boss away... Looks like a factory mod.
