my car has 26 option codes or 27. cant remember. anyhow code 981 ? any ideas what this means exactly

That's a lot of options! Does your car have factory park assist? headlight washers? rain sensors? PSM?

The car has some optional leather trim pieces other than the seats, usually center console, dash pad, etc. that would normally be found in a full leather option car,

Yes it has leather dash and other parts are leather.. None of those listed woodsman.
