We are mourning the loss of her engine. Black seemed appropriate. ;)
Actually, I got to drive it a couple times like that and wasn't sure I liked it. Once the engine is going again will probably change to silver. Doesn't matter gathering dust. Besides, how do you lead by following everyone? Got to try new things…every one of them cannot be a success. All I know is...I do NOT like the ORANGE! IMHO that is :barf: How about the tail lights? http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1378251961.jpg |
The tail lights look ok .....
About the best you can do for the front of these cars is c4s/tt lights , followed by 03/04 lights . 03/04 lights are much cheaper come resale ... |

but I haven't figured out which head lights would look best with the rest of the car having the smoked look...(or where to find them) I also have the all-red tails that I got first, but I went with the LEDs as they made the car look newer... |
Those tail lights look excellent on a silver car. Agree about the amber!

Pothole...truer words were never spoken, you may have beaten sense into me.

http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1374674520.jpg This is what I'd recommend for your headlights buddy. 100% black inside, get rid of all the chrome but leave the silver trims as-is. Simple, modern, mean looking, and still very clean looking. PS: if the litronics can't be painted, I'd trade them for a set of halogen and retrofit them in black. If I'd own a silver car like yours that's what I would do anyway! |
I would love to go 100% black but I don't want to put aftermarket litroics in it. I think I'm going mostly black but keeping the chrome reflector. It will be a fun project. On another note, I found and bought the Aerokit I side skirts I have been looking for going on a year now. OEM Porsche, new in the box.

Congrats on the find, have fun buddy!

That car below looks great, agreed black indside!
|
I didn't use paint, but it turned out great.
|
The skirts look good, and the headlights look better than I expected. Sharp car!

First-time headlamp replacement question. 986 2000 - is this a simple process that I can get the lamp at a local shop - where? Is it a simple process to DIY? Thanks for the help.
