Another fluid to be banned???
 

Haz's misfortune got me thinking - better change my oil. Been 2 year, 24 days and 4890 miles.

This time tried Royal Purple and guess what???? It's Purple! I wonder if the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard committee will ban it too? Someone might think it's Kool-Aid.

Yeah I know 2 years is too long between oil changes but with all the IMS issues posted lately, I was afraid of what I might find. Lucky for me, nothing on the magnetic drain plug and filter was completely clean - absolutely nothing (last time I had a few specs of yellow/orange plastic). Tomorrow's project - flush my brake fluid.

Oh, and I've got an '03 base with just under 90k miles.

Uh ....
I change mine when the stains in the road start going too black ....

For the very last time: ATE Blue is not banned, one lot has been recalled due to use of the wrong dye, nothing more............................
