pioneer Avic N1 installation

Hi all, I am thinking of buying a pioneer AVIC n1 unit and install it into my 00 boxster. I wonder if anyone had this unit as well? If you do, how do you like it overall? And is the instlaaltion pretty straight forward? Thanks.

Trigem,

When the screen is flipped out and up for viewing, is it not blocking the central air vents?

I sometimes drive it when it is a bit cold out and thus I am blasting the hot air out at max heat and max volume. I know when I have my cellphone in the cupholder and thus the cellphone is in the "vent airstream" the phone gets quite hot. Do you feel the screen will get damaged by the extreme heat when it is up and blocking the vent?
