Rear Emblem Poll: "986", "Spyder" or "986 + Spyder"?

I'm thinking of replacing my rear "Boxster" emblem with something else. I initially was just going to do "986" then saw the "Spyder" and like the script too. Finally, inspired by the new 918 Spyder and think maybe I should do "986 + Spyder" (top/bottom). I know mine is not a "Boxster Spyder" but to me any convertible sports car can be called a "Spyder". What’s your vote?

Here is a rear shot of the 918 Spyder

Just keep it real and stay with the official model name, unless you bought the 986 Spyder conversion top.

The way I see it, your only options are "Boxster", "986", or "Porsche".
"Spyder" would be a terrible case of posing.

I thought Spyder was the term for a car with no top at all.

I think I'm going with my first instinct and get the "986", thanks for all your opinions

The "PORSCHE" emblem is very nice but since I ready have the word "PORSCHE" in my vanity plate therefore I don't wanna over play it. :D

LOL. I once had PORSHHA on my vanity plate when I lived in NYC, and saw that a blogger actually wrote something about me driving by him while he was waiting at a bus stop. It wasn't very nice what he said, and I posted a comment on it telling him, hey that was me! :)

There's nothing wrong with "Spyder". You're not creating heresy and it's your car...personalize it the way you want.

I like the Porsche lettering from the newer model. The word spyder seems to be interpreted differently by different manufacturers. My interpretation is that the roof either does not exist or is completely removable in a spyder model. You could put "roadster" on it as another option

But the word 'Spyder' refers to a specific Porsche model.

We can't put "Spyder" on our back just like Carerras can't put "Turbo" on theirs. Or even worse, an AMG badge on a Mercedes. It's just posing to be something you're not.

And the word you're all thinking of is 'Roadster', a two seat convertible. Car manufacturers use 'Spyder' for all kinds of different cars. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder

There is no option for neither. It's a big pain to wax with the emblem.

Do you guys ever get tired of the cutesy name "Boxster" that Porsche stuck on our wonderful cars and yearn for one with a little more testosterone?

It is what it is.
I don't like Ferrari LaFerrari, but it's wrong for me to just re-badge it as "F50"
