"xenon bulbs"-do they cause damage?

Do these cheap bulbs on ebay cause damage to the light casings or wiring? I have seen some pictures of blue discoloration to the headlamp casings on some..thanks.

You do need to be careful what you put into your lighting housing.

Some get hotter than factory bulbs and can mess up your housing. Silverstars are the best according to others here on this list, but they last about a year with frequent use because they burn more blue and the element doesn't last as long.

Spend the money for Silverstars if you do it. Sylvania's product is worth the money, and your car is worth spending a little more on to get safe, brighter, more-blue bulbs.

Then start saving for litronics. I did the true xenon upgrade and it's absolutely wonderful. Others will argue with me, but I love my litronics.... and they make the car look new too.
