broken convertable top
 

I've got the dreaded broken gear in the top transmission.
First off, is there a replacement gear available, yet? Don't want to paid for a new transmission.

Second...
For now I have the top locked up, but the clam shell is just sitting there loose. I'm a little afraid to drive it like that and have it flapping around.

You can drive your car without the clamshell loose. I did it a few years ago while working on mine without issue.
