Sleepless in Stratford

I'm used to hearing other people's car alarms going off all the time but mine went off twice last night...a first for me! Jumped out of bed...tore down stairs with a wooden spoon from my kitchen to ward of any car thieves LOL...and no one in sight...cancelled the alarm, pulled off the cover and sat inside for a minute...everything OK so I put the cover back on, re-armed the system and went back to bed. About an hour later it goes off again...tore down the stairs in the dark, misjudged the last step and went crashing into the aluminum door at the bottom, finally made it outside without the spoon this time...cancelled the alarm, pulled off the cover and sat inside again. That's when it happened...something hit me in the side of the face hard...the biggest black moth I've ever seen in my life with a huge wing span...he had been in there the whole time flying around trying to get out and I guess he must have tripped the infrared sensors above the rear view mirror. Everything back to normal now but does anyone know if those sensors can be adjusted so they don't go off when a big ass moth flies by?

The moth must have hid the first time when he saw that big scary wooden spoon!
