SF Bay Area: PST2 Help Request for OBC and Airbag Deactivation

Hi,

I would like to request some help from a local SF Bay Area forum member who has access to a PST2 to help with two tasks:
- Enable OBC for a 2001 Boxster
- Enable Airbag Deactivation sensor for child seat deactivation bar

I am located in San Francisco but willing to drive to meet. I don't have the OBC switch/stalk or deactivation bar installed yet, but I was hoping this can be done prior to installation, so that I can save time on the install and verification.

Thank you very much in advance.

I don't know individuals who have a PST2, but I do know of several independents who can reset things for you. They are

Flintworks in San Jose
Reitmiers Werkstadt in Los Altos
High Perfdormance House in Redwood City (has PST2)

I'm sure there are other indpendents in the area. Whole job should take 20 minutes or less. The other thing I don't know is whether the parts must be installed before resetting the computer.

The parts for OBC don't have to be installed before enabling OBC. I have it enabled on my 2000 S (and I don't have the stalk so all I get is the outside temp display). I have Durametric Enthusiast v6 (the newer one) and I was able to disable and re-enble OBC using that. I have never done an Airbag reset before though.

I also have the Enthusiast cable. For the life of me I could not enable the OBC. I must have the procedure wrong.

I also may be wrong , but I don't think the Durametric can tell the computer that a child seat is installed.

If anyone knows how to use a Durametric to do these two things, I'd love to know how.

Thank you for the responses, so far. Definitely promising...
