SOS: Central Locking Problem - Urgent!
Hi everyone,
2002 Boxster base is down and I need to get it running ASAP. I went to install a AUX cable that plugs into the back of the head unit. Didn't have the removal tools so I pulled the entire center stack out. (cup holders, head unit, center vents) To do so, I removed the side switch panels from the left and the right. Somewhere along the way, the dome light went out; didn't think much of it. Installed the AUX cable, tested the AUX mode on the head unit and put everything back together. At this point, I noticed that the central locking switch did not function. Neither did the rear window defroster switch. (I have a glass window top from an 03) The convertible top switch works fine. Power window switches do not function (can't roll windows up or down) Plugged in the Durametrics and got the following code: - 34: Interior Sensor Faulty - 60: Central Locking Limit Position Lock not reached Cleared the codes, but they keep reappearing. I had installed the connectors in the pic below in the following order: Yellow - top Green - middle Pink - bottom http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1376587258.jpg As a last resort, switched positions on the yellow and green as seen in the pic to no avail. That's where I'm at for now. Someone please confirm the correct position of those colored connectors. And more importantly, please advise on what to do next. TIA |
Correct order:
Yellow Green Purple Make sure you didn't accidentally disconnect the ground wire from the head unit. It is part of the CLS. Also check all fuses. It's possible something touched something it wasn't supposed to and blew a fuse. |
Have you checked the fuse? it has small color codes beside the connector.

fuses would have been my next move as well.

Problem Solved!
Thanks for all responses.
Problem turned out to be a blown fuse #C3. One fault cleared itself, the other had to be cleared with the Durametric. |
