Back of Seat back center separation
My 2000 Boxster S seats (partial leather) work fine and are comfortable. I just wanted to ask if any others have this situation. The inset center portion of the back of the seatback is slightly separated from the surrounding portion. This appears due to some shrinkage/pulling away between the two portions. There doesn't seem to be any adverse affect and I am not sure if I will try repairing it... Comments?

My passenger seat has this happening also.
Haven't gotten around to take a close look... other more important things come up, like going out for the next drive. :D |
Mine too! '00S, space gray. I've fixed it several times over the years. On a warm day (or use a dryer or heat gun) I get a body tool or a wide screwdriver and press it back in. It stays for awhile, but usually just pops back out. I don't see it so I don't think about it. Also, my pass. side is NOT doing it. Weird??

I like it!
You guys are right, out of sight, out of mind and just enjoy driving the car and dealing with bigger maintenance issues!
