The Family (986, 987, 991)

Went to pickup my new-to-me 987S a couple weeks back. Here's the family portrait of all three of our P-cars together. 2000 986S, 2008 987S, 2012 991S

Unfortunately, a hellacious flash-flooding rainstorm began immediately after we got the cars moved out onto the grass, so didn't get a chance to take many photos before we had to get the tops up and into the garage.

I still think the 986 is the best looking one!

Damn, must feel great to own three German 9'ers! How does your monthly budget look like when it comes to running costs suchs as service costs, fuel, insurance etc.?

Well, unfortunately we are down to two as of the day after photo. The new owner of my 986 had a transporter pick her up that evening.

The 991 is my dad's, and the silver Boxster is my new ride since selling the black one. This photo was the only time the three of them were all together, since I live about around 1200 miles away!

As far as running cost budgets, I find it's best for my mental health not to keep track of such things

But seriously, I've actually found the Porsche ownership experience to be much less expensive than everyone warned me it would be -- fortunately I've never had any catastrophic failures on the cars though.

Well black box welcome to the arctic silver ownership. It cool but people tend to not notice you in their side mirrors so they are going to be changing on to your lane a lot more often. I haven't seen my girl in two weeks as Im also 1200 miles away down in florida for a Vacay. I post plenty of pics of the road trip back if you not going to ship it.

In that second pic, it looks like a style progression -- the 986S looks the most modern.
