First Boxster!

There seems to have been a lot of these threads lately, But here is another (with pictures).

I recently purchased this 2003 Boxster S, 30k miles. Had the IMSB retrofit done and the RMS replaced. She also already had her 30k service.

One thing I have been trying to decide is how best to do car washes. Will taking it to a hand wash place be ok? How will getting soap on the top affect it? I would like to wash myself as much as possible but would like other options if needed.

Any other advice?

Another question, I have been having a weird issue with filling the gas. I put the nozzle in like normal and start it, and sometimes it only fills it 1/2-3/4 full and auto shuts off. What could be causing this?

I read the other thread about the gas issue but that sounded like the pump shut off immediately after starting, so it sounds different. Could this be the same issue? I was thinking it may be an issue with the type of gas nozzle (seems to happen more with the pumps that have the big rubber accordion looking things on the nozzle).

Thanks! Does yours have the metropol blue top as well? I got the IMS retrofit done because I don't think I would have been able to sleep without it! I still worry ever after haha.

Damn... mine is black ! I didn't see that.
You will find some on Ebay or Pelican parts... I don't know yet which one I will take.
I will first do the IMS retrofit, I am not able to sleep as well ! :D

Gotta love Arctic Silver & Metropol Blue!
I might be a little biased, though. :D

Darn near the clone of mine.

Congrats! Sharp looking ride! Metropol blue interior as well?

I'm perpetually on the hunt for a good deal on those wheels so I'm a little envious!

Congrads on that nice looking Box. I think I got my side markers, like someone else said, on ebay from a P dealer. Here is a heads up to you, keep the micro fibers rags away from the front hood of the car. Matter of fact, burn the micro fiber rags if you have any. My first Boxster lesson. Welcome to the forum.
