Windshild Trim Question

I have a 2001 base Boxster that has the original outside windshield trim which has been coming out of the space between the windshield frame & glass.

I bought the replacement which is now a 2 piece arrangement & the replacement metal frame seems to be installed with the glass out of the car.

Can anyone recommend a reliable glass shop in the Roseville, CA area to do this?

My other dilemma is I picked up a rock chip a few weeks ago & I'm thinking a shop will want to sell me a new windshield since they might break the glass removing or installing the trim & I don't think I need to replace the windshield yet.

Can't help you on a good glass shop in your area, but any decent one should be able to remove the windshield and re-install it without breaking it. Depending on the size of the chip (and the location, as repairs lead to some distortion) there should be no problem in an acrylic repair.

Good luck!
