Why would Porsche that what would otherwise be an incredible car, and make it a
hybrid ? :barf:

LOOOOOVE the look of the matte black, but . . .

Is it too girly to say that sucker is going to look really dirty, really quickly?

If it came in 3.8L, I'd own one of each. and call it a day. Actually I'd get in white with blue Porsche graphics lik the Ford GT.

Why Porsche only makes $300+K mid-engine cars that feature their best engines will always be a mystery to me.

Martini stripes over matte black at Monaco. NUTS!!

PL, That video just made me think . . . .

How much do you think it would cost to matte black a Boxster? Paint, wheels, bumpers, etc?

That would be unbelievable!

I guess they didn't offer you a ride? Great shots, better start saving your pennies!

$299. Plastidip Pro Kit.

Or $6K+ for a custom paint job. Your choice. ;)

I looked into this last winter when I was having my Carrera 5 spokes refinished in BMW Shadow/gunmetal grey. Well technically it would have been a shimmery carbon fiber wrap like you see on this GT-R

It was going to be DIY as my buddy has some experience with that sort of thing. Time-consuming but easy on the 986 since it has very basic slab body panels. I think I calculated it would run about $1K. If you paid a pro to wrap it for you it would be at least $3K.

plasti-dip cars only look good from 10 feet away.:D

Thanks! For sure I need a good deal of pennies for this one..lol. Been a long time Porsche fan and just picked up a new to me 986 Boxster recently. I was just reading about the 918 Spyder but to then see the actual car that is in all the latest magazines was a crazy coincidence and cool.
