New guy here !

Hi I just bought myself my dream... My first Porsche !
Since I was child I think I always wanted one. Preferably a vintage 911 SC but it will come later. For now I prefered a 2003 Boxster S 56k. I own it since 2 days and I am happy.
I was a little worried about IMS etc... but after all it's a Porsche !
I ran about 250 miles with it and it impresses me. Photo will follow I did not some already !

Bienvenue! I have just a bit over over 40K on my 2003 S.

By the way there is no simple audio upgrade to do because the stock audio system is really awful

Audio upgrade to double din or replacing with single din is not that difficult and can be done in less than a day. Lots of info on the site for both Have fun!

It's the speakers as much as if not more of a problem than the head unit...

The French Dude 07-14-2013 09:03 AM

Thanks guys !

I read some threads about sound system but every thread gives some differents opinions. Once the head unit once the speakers !
I'd go with speakers changing option but it's way complicated to change the doors ones !
Anyway the sound is so awful in mine that I doubt something is not wrong... The doors speakers dont give anything than muffled bass sounds. My head unit setting is min bass max treble ans it's still too much bassy...

Is that normal or...

Thanks !

Hi everybody!

So...

I took a ride yesterday and the sound system seems to do whatever it want! once bassy sound once too much crisp sound... What I have too do to trouble shoot this ?
Amp failure ? Head unit ?
