Which brand rotors to get?

Hey guys, which slotted rotors should i get for my boxster s 2001? Original Porsche or?

If you want slotted rotors, they won't be original Porsche. They only offer drilled rotors for a S.
Slotted rotors would be aftermarket.

You can get Sebro or Meyle high quality non OEM brakes pretty cheap from Pelican or eBay.... I saw a set of Brembo front rotors on eBay a few months ago for around $160... that's a deal too.

Whatever you do, be sure to get anticorrosion coated rotors OR hit the semi-conical rotor "hat" section where the lug bolts screw in with some high temp paint prior to installation. Otherwise they WILL turn a nasty shade of orange.

Be sure to use a) loctite and b) a torque wrench when installing all of your brake components.

Save yourself some money and get Balo. You can get them zinc coated for well under $100 a pair. They are made in Germany and I'm guessing are OEM to Porsche. I have them and they are great.

If you want SLOTTED rotors (which are actually far superior to cross drilled rotors): I got a pair from R1Concepts for around $150
They were Zinc-coated and lasted forever

Found 2 models not sure if cheaper one will do, big difference in price...

Drilled Slotted items in 2001 Porsche Boxster Roadster S store on eBay!

I think the "ELINE" were the ones I had
Worked great and were zinc - coated

Only the OEM rotors from Porsche have painted hats which prevent them from rust, otherwise you'd have to paint them yourself.

The Eline model seems nice for the price, how come the stop tech ones are 3x more expensive that's what i dont understand..

Nope these rotors are zinc coated. No rust (albeit in California)

We use military grade salt on our roads here in winter. They eat thru zinc coating in one winter.
