longer shifter cables
 
does anybody know if 987 shifter cables are longer?
or any other cables that fit our box but about 1" longer

try checking with numeric racing. they are selling cup car cables for the 911 (which I presume are shorter) but have also stated that they will start selling longer cables for the box/cayman - you might find what you need from them.
