Rear tail light Q?

I have a '99 Box with a tail light problem. History, drivers side tail light was out, I pulled the assembly out and checked the bulb, looked okay so I pulled the passenger side out and swapped bulbs, sure enough the bulb was bad. I put a new bulb in and everything worked. I had the ignition on and the bulbs were lit as I was putting the assembly back in place. I think it touched a metal screw and both tail light and auxiliary light went out. All other bulbs work, brake, turn signal... I tried swapping bulbs and they work on the passenger side so the bulbs are good. At this point neither auxiliary or tail light work on the driver side and both bulbs are good. Any ideas?

Sounds like if you touched a metal screw, could have caused a short. Check the fuse.
If not fuse, recheck the bulb wiring to see if its secured and grounded properly.

Best
