engine blower fan not kicking
problem started last week when temp. red light blinking, coolant leaked, so i checked the water pump and there's some coolant stain underneath and it grinding noise, so just replaced a new water pump and thermostat. now when on idle noticed engine blower fan doesn't comes on at about 186 deg. ? but the two front blower fans comes on after a while. any tips on to how to check this engine blower fan???

it will be activated by the temperature in the engine compartment (big difference). 2 ways to test it: 1. the easy way. use durametric, and activate fan. 2. after a long ride (when the engine is at is pick temp), let it idle for 5-10 min (inside a garage if possible). the fan should kick in. beside the fan issue. if your engine is overheating after pump+stat replacement, i recommend repeating the bleeding process. |
