Grinder, the standard equipment inventory changed somewhat from country to country so it is difficult to say. I do know that, at least in North America, the heated seats, silver console, PSM, nav system, 18 inch wheels, litronic headlights, cd player and activated charcoal filter as well as the upgraded battery (which I believe was standard only on the tiptronics) were all options of the 2001 S.

I think the storage compartment over the engine was an option too- stock got a net- didn't they? Also, the rear model designation delete was an option.

Woodsman, you are of course correct about the model designation delete - which was a no-cost option, so to speak. As to the storage compartment, I had always understood that it was made standard equipment (at least in North America) in the 2000 model year. My 2000 has it and it is not listed among the options on the factory sticker.

I'm assuming the M219 - Differential option is not a limited slip? Was not aware there were variations on this with any boxsters, unless it is something to do with being electronically controlled, which I was also not aware of either. Which year models do these apply to?
