Nothing Porsche related, but I did enjoy a few "pre-embargo" cuban cigars. Note to forum users, you can get quality for much less than my wife paid without a fancy box and label). Autographed baseball and a couple o games for the xbox360. As for the saber-fans, I have th blue fx but am trying to convince my wife that the collection isn't complete without the double-bladded Parks saber -- star wars fans (with a little cash) -- check out his stuff at the Parksabers.com

I can only speak for me, but I don't think you know me. I know of the 501 and/or RPF, but am not part of either.

Hi,

Mrs. MNBoxster and I were Married in Montreal, Canada 6 years ago. As you may know, Canada does not have a Trade Embargo with Cuba, and so Cuban Cigars are very much legal. During our 2 week Honeymoon there, and in Quebec City, I availed myself of numerous Fine Examples, usually accompanied by a snifter of excellent Cognac.

Weak-willed as I am, I could not resist buying up a couple dozen Cuban Cohibas to bring back to the States with me. I taped them to my Body and when we entered the Customs area at the Detroit Airport, I cautioned my Wife to linger on the JetWay so we could get in line behind a somewhat Grungy looking Hippie Type who was on our flight.

Here I am looking all like a wannabe Michelin Man with these Cohibas taped all over me, but the Customs Guard never gave us a second Glance, waved us straight through, all the while eyeing the Hippie in line before us.

I just finished the last of these on New Year's Eve along with some of the 90 year-old Baron Rothchild Private Reserve Cognac my Wife gave me for Xmas, and so felt compelled to share my tale with you all.

I am planning a surprise 2nd Honeymoon for Mrs. MNBoxster and I to attend the F1 Race in Montreal this year. Given the heightened Security at the Border since 911, I suspect I'll have to enjoy my Cohibas exclusively in Country this go around...

Happy Motoring... Jim'99

Talking

I got an ipod so that I can hook it up to the MP3 plug I installed on my new radio (disconnected the CD stacker). Now I can listen to all of my music as I cruise the streets of Melbourne!!!!

I got the silver sport back cover and aluminum gas cap for the boxster. Haven't had time to install it yet...

For the Boxster, I gave my wife a GPS unit and I'm installing the FM radio connector to route her around DOT reported traffic and construction problems.

For me, it was all 928 upgrades. New swaybars and adjustable drop links and several gift certificates for 928 Specialists for more upgrades.

It's been a very Porsche Christmas!
