You'll want to make sure that the tabs on the sides of the radio are out before reinstalling - hence, the keys need to come out before reinstallation.

I had to wiggle the keys around quite a bit until I was able to get the keys to disengage the tabs. Take your time and you'll find the sweet spot.

The same will be true about the reinstall. There is a certain angle that the radio has to be at for it to slide in all the way, if you're even slightly off then the radio will only go in 2/3's of the way and be stuck there. Again, take your time and slightly tilt the radio up and down to find the exact right angle and you'll be home free.

Push the side tabs in and the keys will slide out.

pushing tabs did the trick.easy.thanks guys.now to get it back in.i presume tabs are meant to be out upon insertion.

Tabs out for reinstallation. Like everyone says, take your time, be gentle, find the right angle and it will slide right in. Oh yeah, back to the radio -- after a gentle insertion the tabs will pop out and hold the radio in place. Gotta love German ingenuity.

Ok I push tabs in to get key out, but you say that tabs have to b out for reinsertion. They come out by themselves upon installation ? Or am I missing something
