Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition: new pictures | evo

Wow, this is sexy.

Looks like it won't fit fat people though...

Looks like a Alfa Romeo front stuck on a Lotus.

2005 Ford Thunderbird taillights, I say.Car makers, please stop with the pregnant butt rear end on car designs. My 3 Alfa Romeo Spiders,86,76 and 78 all looked better IMO.That being said though, it will be a blast to drive as all Alfa's are!

Alfa Romeo returning to the US ! Hmm... I wonder if the statute of limitations hasn't run out that I can still sue them for the emotional distress that I suffered after purchasing one of their Spider Veloces back in the mid 90's ? :(

It's not a real Italian car if it doesn't break down.

Umm...I see Lotus Elise/Exige. Although I believe Italian cars are much more reliable now and I welcome Alfa back with open arms.

Looks like they didn't do too bad in keeping the concept's style pretty well intact. I'm looking forward to this car, honestly.

I personally see a lot less Lotus than folks seem to. I can understand that being the immediate go-to for likeness, but when I look at the profile it comes off like a miniature Nissan GT-R, engine placement notwithstanding. In either case I don't mind the similarity. In all honesty, you're only going to get so much room (literally and figuratively) to play with on a mid-engined car that small.

The arachnid thing going on with the headlights is so odd to me, but overall the car looks great. I'm foolish enough to pay ~$60k for it.

I am a fan of sequential gear boxes, but I'm not a fan it being the only option...

^^ Agreed. Sadly, fewer high end manufacturers, or the high end cars of normal manufacturers, are letting us row our own.

Imagine how immense this thing would be with a revvy, small capacity NA six pot in typical Italian style. And a manual box. Paddles and a turbo four pot? Ghastly.

The rear intakes remind me of a ferrari 360/430. The rest a Lotus. Seems like a ferrari/lotus combination to me. Not my styling taste personally...I just don't care for the Alfa front triangle intakes....
