Smile Boxter radio code

I just purchased a 2000 boxter and can't get the radio to work. I have read through the threads and there are several codes. I get "wait" when I turn it on. I hold TP button and get Becker 1 and Becker 2 but no code field.
CDR220
Serial #15077232
Can anyone help me get a code, and where to enter it? Thanks!!

Wait means the number of code entries have been exceeded.... for that to reset you need to leave the radio on continuously for about 12hrs or so... it will eventually prompt you to enter the code. For that radio the code should be 4614.

Can any of you confirm that an '03 S does not need a radio code? I'm reading conflicting information.
I'm about to replace a battery, and I'd like to be preemptive, haha.

I have removed my battery in my 03 S to install a new one after it went dead and I did not need a radio code. I believe there is internal circuitry identifying the radio as belonging to the particular vehicle and it simply resynchs.
