My 02 didn't come with them as well. I called a few places, but ended up buying them from ebay, which was cheaper than I could find anywhere else used. I think the seller was BoxsterBits?? From the UK

I'm not sure how much it actually helps with the wind...not much if any, maybe 8% less windy? Haha, jk, just a random #... But I think it does look better with them on, imho. It really finishes off the look nicely from the rear with the top down. It's a worthy purchase.

I entered windstop in the Search function on this forum and got 44 hits. Try it. Besides ebay, Porsche dismantlers (wreckers) often sell them. Try Google.

Mine came without them, and I was able to get some off of the emporium here for $125 and I felt lucky to get them for so "low". Someone recently sold a whole set for $45 or something...

In my opinion they do cut down on the wind on the back of your neck, and they look cool, but they also block a little bit of rearward visibility when backing and looking in the mirror, I have noticed more when I look left. But it is not significant. I would get them again.

I feel they are worth it but make sure you zip tie them to your roll bar so they don't go flying down the road during some spirited driving! I also purchased some of Jay Sennoff's(forum sponser) plexiglass inserts. They are well made and fit perfectly!

Try Oklahoma Import - junk yard. I picked up a used DS screen for $60. I have both sides are secured with wire ties now.

Mine reside in the frunk....because at the speeds I like to cruise at, they would become Frizbees!

lost another one, just on the right. there is one on ebay now, with bidding up to $50.

does anyone know another source to by just one side? and what is this part actually called? not that easy to find them...

i found the answer. pelican has them at $160 apiece. what a ridiculous price for a poorly made piece of plastic "wind deflector."

Use black zip ties to secure them. You won't even notice the ties are there. Ebay is probably the best place to find them reasonably:cheers:

I have a glass wind shield at back - looks cool

But at night all you can see in the rear view mirror
Is the reflection of the double DIN
pioneer satnav stereo!

So at night the glass shield is awful.
I took mine out in the end

I was vacuuming the interior yesterday and found one of the fingers from the windscreen lying in the floor. Apparently, the plastic gets brittle and these things snap off easily, that is, with no provocation other than normal car vibration. Luckily, I have them securely connected with zip ties.

I would say, since you have to use zip ties anyway, buy used ones with broken fingers cheap, install them, and don't worry about it.
