Boxster defect: white smoke (video)
 

Yesterday while driving 5000\6000rpm a big plum of white smoke appeared in rear-view mirror. Immediately stopped the car.

No warning lights, enough water and oil.
It was recently serviced (march 2013)

Don't worry, well known issue.
$120 buys you a new AOL.
You can install it yourself, medium difficult, mostly just tedious.

He doesn't need internet access (AOL), he needs a new Air Oil Separator (AOS). :p

Replaced the "air oil separator", problem solved !

also try checking if there's a large vacuum when you open your oil cap while the vehicle is running. if there is, it's your AIR/OIL SEPARATOR! replace it asap! its either spend $120 or $4000. it will take you about 1-2 hr DIY.

Hope this one will last for a couple of years, this was my first air/oil separator in 124k miles :-)
