VIDEO: Sound of my rattling / clunking when accelorating

Can any of you shed some light on this for me? Its such an annoyance and it sounds like its getting worse. Happens at low speeds around 1500 RPMS and then again around 2500 RPMs... My mechanic fixed a bunch of exhaust leaks and rattles (I really thought it was heat shield) and the sound is there, getting worse. Car is a 99 Boxster 2.5L , 59k miles. Unless my hearing is completely shot, the sound doesn't sound like its coming from the engine, but I just cant tell... Seems like it comes from the front end... I could be wrong though, its so small in this thing its hard to tell. The car SEEMS to run fine....

Link to video: Sound starts around 9 seconds.

I'm sorry but I can't really hear anything bad in your video.

It is a bit difficult for me to tell from the video; but, is that power steering pump noise that I hear?

Does gear selection have anything to do with the noise? It sounds like it could be a throw out bearing on it's way out, but you would typically only hear that in neutral with the clutch peddle out.

Isn't his car a tiptronic?
