You gotta be kidding me? Insane.

Parrot356 04-15-2013 09:10 AM

You must be in the Fort Collins area. It was a fun drive this am between Niwot and Loveland for sure. This weather will teach me to evaluate when I switch out my snow tires/wheels on my DD. Generally Tax day is not a bad time frame to make the change out...

ccstud17 04-15-2013 09:32 AM

thstone: does it not do this in LA??? lol March is normally our snowiest month and occasionally it spills over into April

Parrot: Im in Windsor, we are still getting hammered hard up here, hows west of I-25 looking? I used to drive a jeep in highschool and learned the hard way of when to take the hardtop off lol

Penland 04-15-2013 09:39 AM

Just another day in Mn as well :-( just got 12"

Mark_T 04-15-2013 09:40 AM

We woke up to a couple of inches of fresh snow this morning too. Spring hasn't quite made it to Winnipeg yet. I'm hoping to plate up the car early May, but it's not looking good at this point.

ccstud17 04-15-2013 10:04 AM

makes me feel better that you guys are all having the same problem. Mother nature just doesn't realize she is messing with my fast commute time haha

Luckily tomorrow will prlly be 60 degrees unlike in MN, Sorry Penland

Parrot356 04-15-2013 11:05 AM

Still coming down pretty hard west of I-25, but it is getting wetter and heavier. Should make for a nice and icy drive tomorrow once things freeze up tonight.

woodsman 04-15-2013 11:19 AM

Oh my!

... to coin a phrase

Penland 04-15-2013 11:40 AM

Yup we won't have a 60 degree day for about 2-3 more weeks, more snow in a couple days..

That would be hard to take. Wifey and I went for a four-hour cruise yesterday. Had the top down. Got up to 78 degrees at one point.

Hang in there guys, summer will be here before you know it.

Snow in Utah this morning with more on the way...... Melts away, though.

986_c6 04-15-2013 04:30 PM

4", 12" Whoahhh! Sunshine is coming guys soon enough!

Joe B 04-15-2013 05:47 PM

Yeah, but I got to ski 12" of powder and drive the boxster today !

blue2000s 04-15-2013 06:15 PM

Meh, it'll be melted and 70 degrees in a week. I don't feel bad for you.

Here in Seattle, we're still months from consistent 70 degrees.

I miss Ft Collins...

com3dorm3 04-15-2013 08:13 PM

Yeah I know. Boxster was autocrossing at Front Range Airport on Sunday and then a whiteout on Monday. More expected this Tuesday here in the Boulder/Longmont area.
...but as typical, the roads should all be clear by the weekend.
Good to see other Colo'ers in the forum.

BruceH 04-15-2013 08:51 PM

Upper 80's today:D great top down day!

Oh, and I can say that since I am originally from Wisconsin. Very happy that there is no snow here in APRIL!

ccstud17 04-15-2013 09:00 PM

yep we are at about 1-2" per hour still! and then more is enroute later this week...

after living in PDX(less rain, but less sunshine compared to Seattle) I will take snow every april for sunshine!!!

We might need to get a CO meet and greet, and then slay some of those mountain passes!
