Convertible "unglued"?

I am replacing the tension cables on the convertible and noticed the top seems to be unglued. Any ideas on fixing this? I don't want to just superglue it. lol

Contact cement spray adhesive (3M™ Yellow Super Trim Adhesive 08090)

High temp. contact cement.

Mine is starting to do this as well, though it hasn't fully released. Not like I can drive it right now anyway...

The canvas that is glued to the rear bow is tucked out of sight and is attached by a seam right on the weatherseal border. OP's photo doesn't show said seam as it's behind the fabric he's holding up.

I need to tackle this on my Boxster as well. Could have sworn there was a piece on this in a how-to for replacing the roof canvas around here somewhere...

Should be a piece of black thin canvas stitched to top. It may be under the rubber seal

If you find it let me know. I have been searching and don't really want to pay big money for what I am sure is a simple fix

This stitching around my window started to fail last summer (before I knew about the boxter chop). None of the upholstery or auto shops near me will restitch the window to the top. They will only replace it

I was all set to order a new top, but decided to try a couple of dabs of the household goop that they sell at home depot. I put it on last August and have raised and lowered the top a number of times since then and it's still holding strong. It was intended to be a quick fix, but seems to be holding. I might even try reapplying if it fails again. I'll be thrilled if I get an extra year or two out of the top from this glue.
