Radio Hiss?
 

This may have been happening for a while, but I noticed it the other day.

When I turned off my car I did not pull the key from the ignition right away. I was looking for something in the console and noticed a hissing/static sound coming from the dash area of the car. The radio was off. When I pulled out the key the sound stopped.

Is that normal? It sounded like maybe the amp was still on, even though nothing else was.

Not a big deal obviously, but I am curious

My 2003 does the same thing.

Maybe its just the "interior heat sensor fan" and its normal it starts when the key is on ignition, and turns off when key is out..
